About Barramundi Gardens

Barramundi Gardens is a 100%, Family run, locally owned Australian partnership. Tim and Gail Thiele along with their extended family and 3 young boys have been working Barramundi Gardens for over 5 years with the emphasise being on - constantly improving their quality of product, their range of products and a ensuring friendly customer service 2nd to none.

Barramundi Gardens is located in the Port Douglas hinterland, only a 25 minute drive from the vibrant tourist town. The property itself is 14 acres in size and has a diverse range of products and activities.

Barramundi Gardens is a commercial aquaculture farm, fingerling nursery, hydroponic produce complex, sports fishing tourist facility and manufacturers of the locally “famous Barramundi Spring Roll”.

The Farm is involved in the raising of fingerlings that are on-sold to surrounding aquaculture farms as well as growing out fish for their own sales of fillets, pan size fish and of course for inclusion in our Barramundi Spring Roll.

Our Hydroponic Produce complex caters to local wholesalers, retailers and restaurants supplying them with the highest quality of Hydroponic lettuce, asian greens and herbs.

The recently started Barramundi Sports Fishing Park, is proving to be extremely popular with people from all ages and parts of the world enjoying the opportunity to get up close and personal with the world renowned species of fish “The Barramundi”. Both professional fishermen and recreational fishers are keen to enjoy the prospect of bringing home the big one and making sure they don't have a story to tell about the one that got away.
